Kara is a children's book for adults. In many ways it helps parents slip into a different relationship with their children than they might be used to. Mom embraces Kara in a very respectful and thought-provoking way by giving her stories, not rough words, or aggravated glances. -- Ketu, journalist and father of five. The book proved to be a subtle history lesson for me and my son, JuWuan. JuWuan was very inquisitive about some of the individuals mentioned in the book.
